2nd week at Oglethorpe

Well, how’re you all doing? I’m here at Goslin Hall’s computer lab, at where I’ve pretty much made myself at home (unsurprisingly).

Yep, this is my second week here, and so far, its been going OK. In a resort to a bad habit, I’ve whipped out my notorious black leather trench coat (an object to be feared, I found out, during spring and summer…possibly an instrument of TERROR! BADASS!!!), and tomorrow, I’ll be taking my first trip off of campus grounds into the savage wild of Atlanta.

Actually, I’m just heading off to the Phoenix and Dragon Bookstore on Roswell to attend the Mythic Roundtable hosted by Michael Karlin (http://www.phoenixanddragon.com/cms/Phoenix_and_Dragon/sepoct05.pdf). Now, exactly why I’m going? Well, apart from my interest in mythology (not as big as politics, but I’m still wondering why I still feel the need to watch such shows as “American Dragon Jake Long”, “Danny Phantom”, or “The Life and Times of Juniper Lee” despite the heavy use of overdone cliches and stereotypical plots), the only other reason is because this is my first personal outing since, like, ever?

Anyhoo, I’ve also done a few cross postings about software, politics, and other such things, and well, although it couldn’t be any less relevant to what I’ve posted on most of these communities, I’m simply amazed (well, not really amazed, just bewildered) at just how much people hate furries, even though I’m not one myself. Kinda silly, isn’t it?

Alright, well, I’ve gotta go. Plus, if any of the so-called anti-furries decide to post onto here (it seems as if they’ve been stalking me or something, just because of my icon and my interests), I will promptly 1) delete their commentary, and 2) ban them from my LJ. No questions asked, unless they actually use good English.

Now, back to perusing the Internet I go. Peace!
