In light of my last posting, I’ve decided that Yahoo, that “behemoth” of an entertainment industry crossover (online-wise), needs to be reformed; If not by the people who run it, then, of course, it is us, the commoners of the Wired, who must make Yahoo our bitch. Here are a few ideas as to how:
1. Skinning. We *must* skin the life out of Yahoo and its subdomains, such as 360, Profiles, Chat, Groups, Geocities, Personals, Photos, Messenger, EVERYTHING MUST BE SKINNABLE.
2. Minimalization. We are sick of the unnecessary clutter, not to mention the crappy graphics. Thus, the removal and/or minimalization of different page sections must be made optional to the common public.
3. If we want to integrate different things from other websites, such as MyWeb or Geocities, into other pages, such as Profiles or 360, then why not? *crickets* Exactly my point!
Simply put, there has to be far more to Yahoo than what is all too often presented to us. While it is too far gone in its shenanigans with the end users, there is still a chance to reform it in a way that will revolutionize the way that we see, or even *use*, such domains as Yahoo.
Same goes for MSN (f**k you!) and the other domains….
Gone to bed.
