——————————————————————–

I’ve come to a realization tonight. OK, well at least another startling part of it.

In the continuing evolution of the current Web into what I call the digital plane of existence, as Yahoo and MSN plan to combine their IM services in order to better extend the realms of digitally-based comminication (and make money in the process), as Google continues to aggregate and index the world’s information by and through all possible means which reside within the boundaries of international law, and as the artificially-resuscitated vegetable known as AOL continues to pimp its dominant RTC network while continuing to slowly financially die, one should see how the world of the Wired is continuing to slowly, but surely, take some sort of solid form.

In the book “Genesis”, part of the Torah epic authored by the Israelite prophet Moses, the earth was primarily null and devoid of any form.

“Let there be light”

“Let there be the atmosphere”

“Let there be land”

“Let there be plant growth”

“Let there be stars”

“Let there be animal life”

“Let there be man”

—————————————–

Now, in the digital plane, we have seen the first three become realized.

The light of the WWW (before which we had the null and void known as Usenet), by which we have sight

The atmosphere of RTC (IRC, IM, etc.), through which our sound is carried

The land of Search (Google, Yahoo, Alltheweb, etc.), the geography of which is in a constant state of tectonic flux

The plant life of web-based BBS, which grows with the photosynthesis that involves the above three creations

The stars of P2P file-sharing, upon which we glance whenever we can (and are always out in abundance every night)

The animal life of Open Source Software, which is highly abounding in diversity (especially at Sourceforge)

The human life of Weblogs (particularly Livejournal), which is ever increasing every day.

——————————————-

My record of the creation of the digital world may be flawed for sake of perspective, but so was every other creation account for the same reason, lol.

More in another post. Peace out.

  1. Hiya, just curious, if Afro-Canadian (or Afro-American) is a shortening of African-Canadian, shouldn’t it be Afri-Canadian and Afri-American?

    1. I’m not necessarily versed in etymology, under which this sort of question would fall, but I’m thinking that Afro has been used because of some fluke in Latin transliteration, or something like that.

      Ack, damn this draining sinus!

  2. N’yao! Hello there, I see that you friended me, so I’ve popped in to say hi. If you already commented something like this in my journal, I’m sorry. *laughs* Anyway, you seem like a really, really interesting person… not to mention the fact that you live pretty close to me. That’s fun. ^_^ And in response to the comment about you being furry (“insufferable”?!), don’t take it to heart. I, myself, am in the same boat you are… I’ve never been to a convention either, and am not very open about it in person. Well, like I said, we should chat sometime!
