Oldie but goodie from Village Voice

Loaded a bad .logonxp file last night at least an hour and a half prior to the party on Greek Row. Image was nice, but OMG! There are no names to click! So….I’m without a laptop for the time being. Back to Goodman again…. (I KNEW that something was gonna go wrong!!!)

Well, that party that I told you (androgynism) about….well, forced by the accidental chocking of my laptop (I mentally dwelled upon it for half an hour), I followed one of the suitemates up to Greek Row, only to wait at Tri-Sigma for a good hour since they weren’t finished with getting the set-up done at Chi Phi (the frat that everyone else in the dorm is being initiated into, except for me [not a part of any] and a high school friend of theirs who goes to ITT but stays in our suite….VG freak he is, lol). Then, come around 10 in the PM, I walked over to Chi Phi, and it was amazing…..downstairs’ walls were covered almost **entirely** in black plastic strips; plus, the downstairs bathroom was covered in blood and bits, lol (made me even more nostalgic for my digital camera…argh…).

However, the party, as many people came (and there were at least a hundred or two in there, all dressed in the most assortable costumes, the majority of them drunk), didn’t go all that hot. The entirety of the place (even the immediate outside) was filled to the brim with denizens, and, except for a Fanta, a 7-Up, two veggy burgers and two meat burgers, I didn’t get anything out of it except a longing for the bed and the computer.

So, I left at around 12:30.

Didn’t get high or anything (forget alcohol…I’d never touch it on a sensible basis due to family history and shit)….what a waste.

Anyway, I’m gone down to TP’s for the night, won’t be back till tomorrow afternoon. Oh, and sorry lordsathien, no AMV’s tonight, I’m afraid, because of the aforementioned.

And, my thoughts on the Miers withdrawal: even if she is a Bush ally of sorts, I say “more power to her”. If anyone can (at least try to) withdraw themselves for even a little bit from the drama that is the US government and its politics (where’s Westminster when you need it?), or even let the gossipmongering public that they will not involve themselves with such bullshit, be it from the so-called “right” or the so-called “left”, they earn my increased respect in the long run.

I mean, seriously, when can pundits **ever** STFU?

But then again, we’re talking about the UNITED STATES here…
