There’s the Liberal Arts kind, which appeals directly to the intellectual, while there’s the Technical kind, which appeals to the professional.
Er…wait a minute….is that technical or vocational?
Then the institutes of technology (a.k.a. polytechnics) cover three distinct areas: science, engineering, and (actual) technology.

School sucks period, especially Compulsory Ed
Not only does it sucks; the way that it is situated at the moment, it makes less and less sense by the day.
To make education in general more relevant, they’ll have to overhaul it over to IP, which they have already done in some places. I’ve heard that at UNC Chapel Hill, all classes are through email.
Or something like that…
