Democrats win the House!
Oh….and Rummy just resigned.
And I voted. Marked the Libertarian box in as many categories as were available.
First chance to vote, and I took it (at the last minute).
So now I am certified to bitch on politics.
I promise, though, that I won’t overdo it.
Honest…… 😛
Anyway, we’re heading out to St. Louis tonight (picking up my aunt from Evansville first). We’ll be back by Sunday.
Keep your fingers crossed — Webb and NBC are now claiming clear victory over Allen here in Virginia. If so, we’ve taken back the Senate as well. We should know more within the next week.
Oh, and we’ve got a 28-22 margin for State Governors as well.
Not a single Republican gain; not a single Democrat loss; and we’ve gained seats as well. I don’t believe that we’ve got some kind of miracle coming; I’m just glad that the stranglehold is over. ^_^
And now the U.S. has gone from a stranglehold to a stalemate.
I echo a few of the sentiments expressed on the Digg story that a government which is rendered in such a divisive manner is better than one party dominating everything. It keeps all sides on their toes.
Of course, it means that they’ll also be sniping at each other all the time, but I guess that comes with the territory.
