So I’m sure that you’ve heard of Miro and Apple TV. Miro’s a video-downloading and video-playing software application based on the Mozilla architecture, and Apple TV is a set-top box that can play downloaded video on your TV either directly from the Internet or through syncing with iTunes on your PC (Windows or OS X).
So what about syncing your feeds and files between Miro and Apple TV? Is it possible to do, so that you can subscribe to video feeds from YouTube or Bittorrent through Miro and play them on your Apple TV or other digital media receiver?
Well, here are the few options that are available at the moment for those who want to play their Miro-downloaded video on Apple TV:
- Install Perian on Apple TV (or, if you prefer, VLC)
- Install Miro directly on Apple TV (Miro has issues after installation, however).
I’m hoping that there will be easier options in comparison to having to go through such hacks to get greater video-reception capabilities for your TV as afforded by Miro.
