En Cuilápam, Oaxaca, iniciamos las celebraciones por los 200 años de Independencia de México con la conmemoración del 190 Aniversario Luctuoso De Vicente Guerrero. Agradecemos la presencia de Martin Luther King III, activista por los derechos civiles en este acto tan importante.

Recordamos con respeto la gesta histórica de quienes nos dieron patria y la importancia de la lucha por la justicia, la igualdad, la libertad, la democracia y la soberanía. También reconocemos la dignidad que han tenido siempre los pueblos originarios, indígenas y afroamericanos.

En los últimos tiempos muchas de las conquistas logradas con el movimiento surgido de la Revolución se fueron perdiendo; el retroceso cobró particular auge a partir de los años ochenta del siglo pasado con la imposición de la llamada política neoliberal.

De 1983 a 2018, predominó una república simulada en nuestro país y un Estado que funcionaba para garantizar la concentración de la riqueza en pocas manos, sin ocuparse del bienestar general, desde ese entonces, como en el porfiriato, en México se vivió sin democracia, con corrupción, desigualdad y opulencia.

De ahí la importancia de lo acontecido el primero de julio de 2018, cuando la mayoría del pueblo de México decidió, con su voto libre y consciente, enfrentar al llamado modelo neoliberal o neoporfirista y sus ominosas consecuencias de degradación para la sociedad y para el país mediante un proceso de transformación moral, económica, social, cultural y política.

Hoy, a pesar de la pandemia y de la crisis económica, el pueblo de México está comprometido en realizar cambios profundos, con el criterio de que la honradez es la mejor política, que el amor al prójimo es la esencia del humanismo, que el interés general debe primar sobre el particular y que el desarrollo debe lograrse desde abajo, con la participación de todos y todas, sin dejar atrás a nadie.

The Final episode of the 1980s Saturday morning cartoon Dungeons and Dragons. From a script written by series writer Michael Reaves. Fully animated by using original footage from the series. Dialog from the DVD radio show released in 2006 by BCI eclipse. With original cast member Katie Leigh graciously reprising her role of Shelia. Music reconstructed from the original series (with varying degrees of success) The creators of this episode are fans first, amateur animators second. There are many things I wish could have done differently in this presentation, but I am very proud of what we have accomplished and it is my hope that those who love this cartoon as much as we do will be pleased with what we have put together. In December 2019, Taiwan‘s government learned that at least seven atypical pneumonia cases had been reported in Wuhan, China. Because of Taiwan’s proximity to China and the number of flights back and forth, it was expected to have the second-highest number of Covid-19 cases worldwide.

Instead, Taiwan has had one of the lowest Covid-19 death rates in the world. Thanks in part to a sophisticated digitized health care system and a mandatory two-week quarantine for all travelers, life in Taiwan went on with relative normalcy. But then, in May 2021, a new wave of cases complicated the country’s success.

So how did Taiwan, the ninth-most densely populated nation in the world, avoid a more severe spread of a highly contagious virus for so long? And what lessons can be learned from their response to the outbreak?
