Volumetric video is a very interesting new medium for filmmaking. In this video, I show how I’ve been using machine learning (AI) to help create live-action volumetric video from stereoscopic sources.
The cameras I used to shoot the footage in the video are the Kandao Ego (https://ift.tt/FplbBKD), and a custom variable-baseline stereo rig.
Thanks to volumetric video technology, the ability to capture and render 3D spaces will forever transform the conventional world of two-dimensional video.
Unprecedented viewpoint freedom will open up a new realm of visual entertainment.

Welcome to the series “How To Ride A Bike In Carmel Indiana”, where I will make and publish real-time ride videos showing how to get from the central part of Carmel to many “everyday errand” types of destinations.
