Senate campaign video for former Columbus, Georgia, mayor Teresa Tomlinson, running in the Democratic primary to face David Perdue in the 2020 election for Georgia’s senate seat. Teresa is running as a proud Democrat and pragmatic progressive who will use her Georgia Gumption to make government work for the people again.
I need you to search my clothing
Pat me down and feel the molding
Cause underneath this table feels so good to me
And I need you to be my motor
And run me ‘til I can’t go further
Cause every turn you take is just exciting me
And ain’t I the best you had
And I let you throw it down
Hit the back
Tell me I need respect
And you know that I’m around
I’m your pet
And ain’t I the best you had
And I let you throw it down
Hit the back
Tell me you need respect
‘Cause you know that I’m around
I’m your pet
Well I’m a star but you’re an icon
A dirty girl with lots of passion
Staring at my fingers while I talk to you
And I don’t care if you degrade me
‘Cause after all you are my safety
And everything you touch just feels like yours to me
Ain’t I the best you had
And I let you throw it down
Hit the back
Tell me you need respect
‘Cause you know that I’m around
I’m your pet
Ain’t I the best you had
(Ain’t I the best you’ve ever had)
It’s really really nice to meet ya babe
(Take my heart and hit the back)
I think I that I really need ya baby
(Ain’t I the best you’ve ever had)
I think I that I really need ya baby
(Take my heart and hit the back)
And ain’t I the best you had
And I let you throw it down
Hit the back
Tell me you need respect
‘Cause you know that I’m around
I’m your pet
Ain’t I the best you had
(Ain’t I the best you’ve ever had)
Ain’t I the best you had
(Take my heart and hit the back)
Ain’t I the best you had
(Ain’t I the best you’ve ever had)
(Take my heart and hit the back)
Literally all King Princess does is take fierce selfies and make gorgeous songs. Well, okay, that’s not everything. The 20-year-old phenom is a proud queer ally, nimbly blending humor and activism both in her lyrics and her social presence. Her fans love her for the jokes, the memes, the affirming candor about her own sexuality and, of course, the music. Her breakout ode to queer lit, “1950,” caught love from Harry Styles (he’s bringing her on his next tour), but the debut full-length, Cheap Queen, with its deft balance of modern pop sensibilities and the tasteful touch and lyricism of 70s balladry, affirms KP as one of the most alluring songwriters of the next decade. Looks like she had a blast when she hit our NYC studios. Watch both “Hit The Back” and “If You Think It’s Love.”

Waking up to find another day
The moon got lost again last night
But now the sun has finally had it’s say
I guess I feel alright
But it hurts when I think
When I let it sink in
It’s all over me
I’m lying here in the dark
I’m watching you sleep, it hurts a lot
And all I know is
You’ve got to give me everything
Nothing less cause
You know I give you all of me
[CHORUS]
I give you everything that I am
I’m handin’ over everything that I’ve got
Cause I wanna have a really true love
Don’t ever wanna have to go & give you up
Stay up till Four In The Morning & the tears are pouring
And I want to make it worth the fight
What have we been doing for all this time?
Baby if we’re gonna do it, come on do it right
All I wanted was to know I’m safe
Don’t want to lose the love I’ve found
Remember when you said that you would change
Don’t let me down
It’s not fair how you are
I can’t be complete, can you give me more?
And all I know is
You got to give me everything
And nothing less cause
You know I give you all of me
[CHORUS]
I give you everything that I am
I’m handin’ over everything that I’ve got
Cause I wanna have a really true love
Don’t ever wanna have to go & give you up
Stay up till Four In The Morning & the tears are pouring
And I want to make it worth the fight
What have we been doing for all this time?
Baby if we’re gonna do it, come on do it right
Oh please, you know what I need
Save all your love up for me
We can’t escape the love
Give me everything that you have
And all I know is
You got to give me everything
And nothing less cause
You know I give you all of me
[CHORUS]
I give you everything that I am
I’m handin’ over everything that I’ve got
Cause I wanna have a really true love
Don’t ever wanna have to go & give you up
Stay up till Four In The Morning & the tears are pouring
And I want to make it worth the fight
What have we been doing for all this time?
Baby if we’re gonna do it, come on do it right
(Give you everything)
(Give you all of me)
Enjoy! ^-^
Have you ever found yourself making assumptions about someone before you’ve met them? What about before seeing them play drums? From assuming she plays ‘quieter’ instruments to not being taken seriously before an audition, Dorothea Taylor has heard it all when it comes to judging a book by its cover. She’s here to prove that you can’t always accurately assess a drummer – or anybody – by how they look. Check out Dorothea’s cover of “Down With The Sickness” by Disturbed!
Drummers come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and ethnicities. “No matter how good you are, how old you are, we’re all still part of a drumming family.”
Today we dropped our Word On The Street episode, centered around Jay Z’s new streaming service Tidal and how people are reacting to it (watch that full episode here: http://hnhh.co/vbxtv). It’s New York, so we obviously come across a few colorful characters from time to time, and this lady was definitely one of them. She went off, ranting about ISIS, Tidal, Biggie, Brooklyn, Nicki Minaj and…well, were not too sure what else she was on about. She’s not a fan of Nicki, by the way. She even brought out her portable speaker and began rapping for us (“let me show you how Brooklyn I am”).
