Sole Marker of a Bygone Era: Chenube Village
This was the site of a Native American village which existed in the 1820s, before the Trail of Tears. Nothing is left of the village, just a little stone-brass marker set up by the roadside over a century after the village’s disappearance.
I took these on the way back from a business trip in Albany. It’s located in Terrell County.
