Oh dear God…

Bush is back in for another 4 years. I know that most of you are already knowledgeable about that and the details, so I won’t go into detail surrounding that.

There are a couple of things that I want to say in reaction.

First off, this is but the saddest day for democracy and representative government in the United States, not like we haven’t seen many of those within the last 30 years. And basically, this isn’t about Bush (although I hoped that the American people were objective enough to vote him out) or about Kerry (who I didn’t care for at all because he didn’t appeal to the people; most who did vote for him did not support him, but wanted Bush out), but about the stagnated political system that the United States prides as the best system to model after.

But see, Ralph Nader, who I believe is the best reformist that America has right now, had already predicted the downfall of the Democrats some 2 weeks before the election. In an interview with the CBC’s Evan Solomon on October 17, he expressed his irritation at the Democratic plot to force him off the ballot, even when he said that he was running independent. They acted like the votes belonged to the Democrats alone, which I find outrageous. He then said that the Democrats would pay dearly for their “political bigotry”.

And now look at the Democrats, they are in a shambles, and they have completely left the Progressive Liberal movement in the US out in the cold. This doesn’t surprise me one bit, as Ive lost all and any faith in the political process in the United States.

I am soooooo moving to London, ONT. now! America is as good as fucked, so God bless its soul as it burns in right-wing Conservative hell.

  1. Hey hey, you friended me, and I think I will friend you right back.

Don’t move away though. Then they’ll win for sure. Unless, of course, you don’t go in for martyrdom as much as I do.

    1. havent they already won it all already? the progressive liberals had their asses whooped (whipped, as pronounced down here in georgia) on the national level (not “federal”, since this is a unitary system, not a federal one, as it should’ve been) by the regressive conservatives, who scare me with their ideas, since i deal with them on a daily basis.

maybe secession? maybe the bringing of the most progressive liberal states (especially west coast and new england, for which ive started and ) into confederation with Canada? if those aren’t liable recourses, then what better to do but leave this bipartisan dictatorship?

  2. dude and I just moved to the US! 😦
heheh I’m already wishing we could move to canada or something.
and lol @ the travel post.

It seems we’re becoming Canada’s Mexicans XD

    1. Well, the United States and Mexico are both republics of the presidential kind, and Mexico also had an unofficial dictatorship by the PRI from 1917 to 2000, when Vicente Fox of the PAN broke their hold on the presidency (talk about a third party victory!).

Personally, I favor a parliamentary constitutional monarchy over a presidential republic like this one. Check out this essay: http://royaltymonarchy.com/opinion/articles/goudman2.html

      I find it very enlightening.

      1. Well with Canada’s Mexicans I meant us all trying to cross their borders soon heheheh 🙂

Great article. And yup, my hubbie and me were talking about the same thing a while back, There’s no real democracy in the USA anymore.
And yup a monarchy is a great thing if run well.
