A while back, before I had become a member here at DA, I was getting
interested in a stormy, controversial subject that has garnered my
fascination since I was a kid:
Physical transformation of human into wolf, or bear, or whatever. Also known as p-shifting.
I have always been fascinated by pictures of anthropomorphic creatures
or people transforming into animals. Lycanthropy or therianthropy, as
they call it.
However, it never occured to me that people could actually turn into creatures, like wolves or bears for instance.
That’s when I came across :iconlance-foxx:’s explanations of his
brushes with actual p-shifting, or, as he called them, “slips”. He
described them with such detail that I was like, this is amazing!
Lance, in his “Second Slip” post from May 29, 1999, told about how, in
bed, as he concentrated on mentally shifting into a wolf, he felt his
muscles retract and reshape, as if responding to his m-shift.
He made mention that, possibly in response to his concentration on the
feeling of turning into a wolf, the muscles in his hands, legs and feet
had started to subconsciously, on their own, contort themselves into a
possibly more canine form. The thumbs and fingers started to retract,
possibly into wolfpaws, and his leg muscles had subconsciously, and
abnormally, reshaped as well.
He tried as hard as he could to let the process occur on its own, and
this continued on until the change became too much to bear. His legs
were about to cross the line from simple retraction to actual reshaping
into a more canine form, and this was signified by the subconscoius
tensing-up of his muscles to a near cramping. He killed the shift
afterwords by stretching out.
I think that such a process is possible. For instance, its often that
you wake up with a cramp in your foot, for no obvious reason.
After reading his post, I theorized this:
When he was concentrating on his m-shift, the muscles in his legs, feet
and hands subconsciously responded by conforming themselves by the
mental process. However, some muscles, probably the most visibly
inconspicuous, made more of a stronger reaction than some muscles which
we use most often. Thus the abnormal contortion.
Im certain that such a thing as p-shifting by intense m-shifting is
possible. I mean, I remember reading a selection in my testbook for the
SAT last year, and it talked about this intellectual who had been
rendered paralyzed in a car accident. While he was lying in the
hospital bed, he was reminded by one of his doctors that it was
possible for the human body to mentally heal itself.
So I think that if that is possible, then why not m-shifting to the point of an actual p-shift?
Slightly off topic, but someone on an Atlanta talk-radio station mentioned something about Darfur and Iraq that was kind of interesting.
“If Iraq didn’t have oil, then the US would probably just ignore it and it would be another Darfur.”
-Guy who called into the show
Yes
That is, generally, how you p-shift. By intensly picturing and thinking of your inner animal self. Not exactly m-shifting, but close, I suppose.
A-Shifter and M-Shifter and almost P-Shifter
I can’t believe that I have found this website. I believe that my family has a long line of warewolf blood in it. However, i believe that we must be some type of half breed because none of us has discovered a way to shift. For many years I have struggled with being human which cried for many years because of my fate. I am just now learning to cope with it however I want to discover a way to shift. I think I have found a way… the M- or P-shift.
