“Its been a long time, shouldn’t have left you…..”

“….Without a dough beat to step to.”

Squawk. Just passing through to update this a bit.

Well, after long last, I finally have moved permanently to Ubuntu Linux. Far more reconcilable screen resolution this time around (including the option of 1024×768), although, again, while it is intelligible, it still seems a bit…..off. Well, like I said back a few months before at the Ubuntu community, this x-conf tweak that someone at DA showed me should do the trick (lets just hope that it doesn’t fuck up the monitor).

Also, I smoked a suprising amount of sticky-icky this past Wednesday. And of course, I tried astral travel again. While it wasn’t as enjoyable as as the first time, this session held a couple of surprises for me. Here’s a rundown for ya’ll:

1) The first session from a month back was different…in fact, milder….from this most recent one. It was as if, in Session 1, the “travelling” that I was doing was primarily an extended eyesight rather than something that was full-fledged. The one from last Wednesday, in comparison, showed me just how limited I was in terms of just “getting off the ground”.

2) OK, so I laid perfectly still in bed, as is the rule. As soon as I relaxed as deeply as possible, even to the point where I, for a few seconds, held my breath subconsciously, I immediately felt this *deadening* feeling, as if the area from my head to my torso had simply stopped functioning regularly….of course, as soon as I laid a minutely conscious thought on it (it was concerning the fact that I had stopped breathing, at which point I breathed deeply), the feeling in my uppers quietly came back as “suddenly” as they came back. However, the immediate aftermath of such an occurrence had felt as if this had happened within a few seconds’ time; indeed, when I reflected on it, the feeling of the conscious activity pausing for a few seconds had felt like I had “gotten up” and then laid back down; I could compare the visualization that I have of it to someone in the hospital whose heart has stopped for a short time, and the immediate reaction that is given by the patient when an electric shock is passed through the body (y’know…”3, 2, 1 – CLEAR!” [pounds reverberators onto the chest area, at which point the patient’s torso area jumps up in reaction]).

3) Intrigued, I tried that technique again and again over the next few days….I may try it again tonight, given that its Saturday and all). Each time that I do it, however, it always immediately feels like I crossed some line that I have no business crossing. Theory is, if I can push this a bit further, to the point that I can simply resort to short, slight breaths in the process, I’ll finally be able to, so to speak, “get up and walk”.

Note to self: always attempt without shoes or socks in bed.

Anyway, for those who may have any interest, here’s some more silliness from the US: Happy Holidays vs. Merry Christmas.

Peace out.
