Songbird not-yet-ready-to-be-called-0.2 is now available

Its much better than the “proof of concept”, even if its still in alpha stage.

Songbird is a media player that is based on Firefox, looks like iTunes, and feels quite heavy. Played just music on 0.1, but now also plays video (just like iTunes does with Quicktime), and (yes) recognizes iPods (for those who may want to know).

I like it (although it won’t play m4a files, and probably for good reason). Try it out (for Windows, Mac, or Linux).

    1. Damned shared libraries. 0.1 did the same thing (wouldn’t activate because “bla-bla-WTF.dll” couldn’t be found. “Re-installing the application may fix the issue”) with SP2 (which I have right now).

So even though its working fine on mine (win xp sp2 on a 2.49GHz Celeron processor, 248 MB RAM, and *still* running like crap), it could crap out on me at any time.
