I need icons. Furry icons.

As you see, I’m out of ideas for icons (and long been so; Mwalimu’s only up there because I pulled him up on a Google Image search and added the text to it via the LJ Icon Maker by lechatron).

[bribe]If anyone sends me an LJ icon or a (fursona-compatible) pic to be made into an icon, I’ll dedicate the next video that I can upload to Youtube to you, personally, with heart bleeds and other goodies. Please?[/bribe]

Now for my rant on Google.

Let me just say this:

Google is cool with tools and services, but it sucks at content.

Gmail, Search, GCal, Groups, Reader: Good
Google Video: Bad. Very bad.
Orkut: Lost in the ballpark.

Google suffers any setbacks because of its underestimation of the user-driven model.

GVideo was shaping up to be a serious-looking service earlier in its existence, but then it stopped welcoming user-uploads (yes, it still allowed them, but not with the bells and whistles that drew people to it in the first place) in favour of big television media like CBS and Paramount.

Thus, most people left Google Video and migrated to Youtube. Today, the public is awaiting news of an eventual buyout or IPO of Youtube, while Google’s been left in the dust.

Maybe Google should listen to its users more?
