Astral Travel, Mary Jane, Bittorrent, VistaXP, and Firefox 1.5

Eh, decided to update this journal a bit. Nothing much to say about the last few days.

Well, on Friday night, I finally experienced astral travel (yay!), which only pretty much took lying in bed, staying awake, and letting my body go numb (under covers, of course). ‘Twas nothing big, just that, with the things which were going through my head as soon as I had hit what I call “ground zero”, I was having this wierd feeling of running without moving all that much (let alone feeling anything, either). It was a *bit* like when I had first gotten stoned (when a million images were running through my head every second), just without the coughing and off-kilteredness of mental perception (my eyes were closed, lol).

Needsta do it again.

Plus, I had gotten stoned again on Thursday, btw. No mental distortion this time, however: this time, a couple of minutes after the smoke, I decided, on possible instinct, to close my eyes and let whatever was stirring to move take its course. Almost immediately, the muscles in my face and upper body started pulling in the most unusual manner, which I didn’t mind except for me knowing that my roommate was coming in from the other half of the suite, at which point, I held it off enough to turn off the screen and creep over to the bed (with the covers over me so that no one would see what was going on).

Then, not that much to my surprise, things went forward as they were meant to. I let the muscles tighten as they were intending to do, and, curiously enough, they started to contort. I curled up into a fetal position, while my face’s skin started itching to pull out (particularly at the lip part). It wasn’t painful or anything, just wierd as fuck.

During this course of events, unfortunately, I went to sleep (and I had my eyes closed as well). I woke up rather early in the morning, sober enough, and I was disappointed to have found one side of my head partly covered with a dampy-dried feeling (never a pleasant feeling, IMO).

Not that this equates with such, but this slightly reminds me of reading the part in Whitley Strieber’s The Wild where Bob had put himself in the closet and let the “slip” (a term coined by lance_foxx in this newspost from the fall of 1998 at alt.horror.werewolves) take its course.

But of course, one can only wonder….

Anyway, I’ve deleted a couple of GBs of my hard drive (nothing essential, just stuff that I know that I can do without) just to make room for some BIG-ASS torrents.

Also, I just installed Azureus, which seems like a far better BT client than Shareaza (which I’ll reinstall later, but for the time being is off the map); however, I DO take serious issue with its being a whole 6 GB+ (what the fuck?!) of the hard drive. Furthermore, I am trying to pull up this torrent that includes “Kaze the Ghost Warrior”, which, from the previews of it I’ve seen, looks like a good CGI flick. Unfortunately, this is saddled with some 285 .rar files (mostly furry/anthro art and comics such as ASB and Circles) and this “raplab” video which I simply DON’T want to see (as I’ve come across one of those during an earlier web sojourn…not pretty…), thus amounting to 9.39 GB (and thus adding a further, totally unnecessary burden to the hard drive….so screw the bastard who created this torrent in the first place).

Yep, I’ve decided to go to BT to find some shit that isn’t available on Gnutella. Unfortunately, for the anime that I’m trying to pull up (namely Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi and Blue Submarine), the active seeds aren’t being cooperative.

Maybe Gnutella2 next time, folks.

Also, if you want to make your GUI look like Vista (formerly code-named “Longhorn”; the next Windows version, coming out next year) and you can’t wait that long for the release, get either WindowBlinds or StyleXP and then DL the VistaXP skin, which should immediately open with either program (unless you just save it to the hard drive, of course).

And finally, Mozilla released the 3rd release candidate for Firefox 1.5 yesterday. So, for anyone who makes and updates extensions and themes (yes, you too, GOOGLE), get your asses in gear with updating your produce. Cool? Cool.

In closing, I’m still in a soul/computer-searching state, as you can see. So since I don’t have any major IM installed on this hard drive now, leave a comment on wherever you may find me if you have something to say.

Peace out.

PS: Did anyone see the new Family Guy? Brian’s “dance” surely defined the episode, which I saw at a friends’ dorm room.

Y’know…….THAT ONE.
